Understand the basics of Bubble Shooter

Choose a round of Bubble Shooter and settle into its rules. Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Read the objective before making your first input. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Original hexagonal matching board and bouncing projectiles.

Practice with a purpose

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Make the next step deliberately.

Your objective

Clear the hanging bubbles before they reach the lower boundary. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

From the start of a round

  1. Aim and fire.
  2. Attach bubbles to the cluster.
  3. Groups of three or more equal colours disappear.
  4. Floating groups drop; five misses lower the ceiling.

Making selections and moves

Pointer/touch aim, angle controls and Fire. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

Try this example

Removing one support can drop a larger mixed-colour group below it. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Keep the game’s format in mind.

One detail worth checking

Contact with a different colour is not a match. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use.
