Find your footing in Golf Solitaire

Use a short break to learn the rhythm of Golf Solitaire. Remove all 35 tableau cards. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Seven columns of five, one stock pass. Free solo play, no wagering.

Give this approach a try

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Make the next step deliberately.

What you are aiming for

Remove all 35 tableau cards. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Keep the controls in easy reach.

The playing sequence

  1. Take an exposed bottom card one rank above or below the waste top, allowing ace–king wrapping.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

How your actions work

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Use one clear input at a time.

Follow the example

Waste queen accepts jack or king. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Keep the game’s format in mind.

A common point of confusion

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
